How does WP-Guardian protect my cPanel account?

As well as managing your web hosting space, your cPanel web hosting account actually manages your email hosting (inbound and outbound), file transfer protocol (FTP) hosting and domain name service (DNS) hosting. That's five different services.

The default provision of your cPanel account leaves many security holes open to exploitation. WP-Guardian activities strengthens security by;

  • enabling cPanel's builtin but often unused security features.
Furthermore WP-Guardian backs up your entire cPanel account (yes - everything, files databases email accounts, email FTP folder contents - the works) and stores it in a secure offsite location should the worst happen and the entire account need to be recreated again. With a a full cPanel backup your account can be reinstated in very short order. This means in the event of a major destructive attack or system malfunction your site is preserved and reinstatetable in a very short timeframe. With a full cPanel backup you can also migrate your entire hosting account to a new server quickly and efficiently, should that ever be necessary.
